Supreme Bean from SoCal. these folks brought an FB70 and a quiver of Swift grinders. they did decent work. best coffee i've had out of SoCal so far. in the second picture you see Martin Diedrich from Diedrich Coffee on the left.
the Ambex Roasters booth. very very cool. tabletop 2 Kilo roaster, super sweet 5 Kilo model, very cool software to do roast profiling and automation.... when i grow up i want one of each.
the RoasterX booth. hmmm... marketing run amok?
a truly gorgeous looking Astoria machine at the Espresso Parts NW booth. these guys are really (really) nice. and they run a good operation.

coffeeFest is over.
a good trip, all things considered, but not a great show.
regardless, i met some good people, had some fun (it is Vegas after all).
here are some photos (crappy ones at that) from the show...
the gorgeous Mirage espresso machine. built (designed? sculpted?) by Kees VanderWesten, this is an E61 based machine that simply looks like nothing i've ever seen. the picture (obviously) doesn't do it justice. it's a work of art. this is the "affordable" version of the Mistral (the La Marzocco based machine used in Vivace).
dr. joseph john of Josuma Coffee explains it all. the man is a legend and a hero to everyone who wants to see great espresso in the US. plus, he made it possible for me to get some great shots in Vegas (not easy, trust me).
the cool folks from Domenic's working their Linea. i pretty much alternated between Josuma and these folks for my espresso. unlike Dr John, they will make drinks with milk. plus, they're super nice and fun and hip. i get the feeling this is a shop i'd enjoy working at.
