CoffeeFest - Day Two
thank god for people like Terry Davis (Ambex), David Schomer (Vivace) and Dr Joseph John (Josuma Coffee). their passion and commitment and integrity make working in this industry possible. without them we would be in a world of blended low carb 24oz mochas.
the troubles with being a professional barista are near universal.
i've found none of the items requested by folks (sorry in advance).
i had another great shot from Josuma, a good shot from Domenic Coffee, talked to Mike Lanz from ESI about La Marzocco, got some shots of beautiful Elektra machines, tasted some amazing chocolate from Moto... the roasting demo was okay (i learned one thing).
the Latte Art competition prelims today looked better than yesterday. all five of the finalists from today could pour decent art, and there was one gorgeous piece. i'm confident that i would have made it to the finals and i feel like (if i had performed well) i would have placed in the top three.
so much still to learn...
